Eugene Fama (1939- )

Awarded the Prize "for the empirical analysis of asset prices".

Eugene Fama is an American economist who was born on February 14, 1939 in Boston, USA. He graduated from Tufts University in 1960 and obtained his Ph.D. from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago in economics and finance. He is currently Distinguished Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
